Mpops Art School Safeguarding Policy

1. Introduction

Mpops Art School is committed to ensuring the highest possible standard of safeguarding. The personal safety and well-being of each student and tutor using our services is paramount. We recognize our duty and responsibility to safeguard and promote the safety and welfare of young people and adults.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all students, including young people, adults, and those with additional learning/support needs, as well as all members of staff, volunteers, or anyone working on behalf of Mpops Art School.

3. Commitment to Safeguarding

We are fully committed to the well-being of all our learners, volunteers, staff, and affiliated persons. We actively promote the positive welfare of all learners and expect all staff and partners to practice this commitment at all times. We believe no one should ever experience abuse of any kind and have a responsibility to promote the welfare of all learners.

4. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Staff and Volunteers: Responsible for understanding and adhering to this policy, and reporting any concerns or incidents to the designated safeguarding officer.

  • Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO): Oversees the implementation of this policy, handles reports of safeguarding concerns, and ensures appropriate action is taken.

5. Code of Conduct

All individuals involved with Mpops Art School must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Treat everyone with respect and dignity.

  • Maintain appropriate boundaries and avoid any behavior that could be misinterpreted.

  • Report any concerns or suspicions of abuse immediately.

6. Reporting Procedures

If you have any concerns about the safety or well-being of a student or vulnerable adult, please report it to the DSO immediately. Reports can be made via email at contact@mpopsartschool.com.

7. Training and Awareness

All staff and volunteers will receive regular training on safeguarding issues to ensure they are equipped to recognize and respond to potential risks.

8. Review and Monitoring

This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains effective and up-to-date with current legislation and best practices.
